GANDERBAL, MARCH 22:- The Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy (AYUSH), Ganderbal organized a day-long workshop cum training programme here today in Meeting Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex Ganderbal.
The training programme was inaugurated the Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Nazir Ahmad Baba which was organized by District Nodal Officer ISM&H, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Payer.
District Nodal Officer started with a speech on the role of common herbs in taking care of the minor ailments in day today life. Emphasis was laid on treatment of these minor ailments at home remedial level.
The programme was attended by teachers, ASHAs, ANMs and Aanganwadi workers from district Ganderbal. The technical experts Dr. Asif Ali Jan Kundangar and Dr. Irfan Hussain Banday, state trainers deliberated their speech with power point presentations and stressed upon the role of Ayush in health care and thereby the role of teachers, ASHA s, ANMs and Aanganwadi workers in propagating the message.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC Ganderbal highlighted the importance of herbs in creating a healthy life and the need of holistic approach towards the health-related issues.
The workshop included a detailed interactive session in which the participants interacted with the resource personnel regarding the subject. As the Village Manigam has already been adopted by Department of Ayush as Ayushgram, all the activities related to National Ayush Mission (NAM) and Ayushgram will be held in Manigam in District Ganderbal.
