BCC REDS WIN EXCITING FINALS
Baramulla, 25 Nov 2017 : Baramulla Premiere League, 2017 was conducted by Himalayan Brigade of Army over two months witnessing participation of 51 teams from various parts of Baramulla district. A total of 32 teams qualified for the elite competition and were divided into four pools of eight teams each. The mega event engaged massive crowd of about 1000 youth besides hoardes of spectators, conducting and support staff.
The Final was played between BCC Reds V/S United Star Baramulla on 25 Nov 2017 at Showkat Ali Stadium, Baramulla. The final match witnessed a large turnout of cricket lovers of all ages from Baramulla district, prominent personalities from civil and district administration besides senior Army and Police officers. GOC Dagger Division presented the Winners Trophy to BCC Reds and the individual prizes during the closing ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that this annual sporting extravaganza provides a huge platform to the young budding sportsmen to showcase their talent and prepares them for exciting future prospects. The tournament was a huge success in engaging the youth, providing them with unique golden opportunities while simultaneously weaning them away from nefarious activities.
