‘Mir has demeaned his own party colleagues’
Srinagar, Nov 15 (KNS): Lashing out at the Pradesh Congress Committee President, G A Mir for his misleading statement regarding Chief Minister’s recent public outreach programme at Anantnag, Senior PDP leader Peerzada Mansoor Hussain Suharwardy today said that Mir has demeaned his own party colleagues by stating that it was PDP Durbar as only PDP workers were present.
“Almost all the legislators from the district including MLC and Senior Congress leader Mohammad Amin Bhat, alongwith their delegations, were present during the public durbar and put their demands before the Chief Minister at Anantnag last Saturday,” Mansoor said and added that Mohammad Amin Bhat is on record to have thanked the Chief Minister for issuing on the spot orders for addressing the developmental issues of his area.
Mansoor said even the Congress legislator from Shangus who was himself out of station, had sent a delegation from his area to meet the Chief Minister during the public durbar and raise issues of public importance.
“It is surprising to note that whom PCC President is trying to befool by dubbing all those present during the Public Durbar as PDP workers,” asked Mansoor.
He said the State Congress chief, whose appallingly dismal performance as a minister in the previous regimes, is known to everybody in the district should have the sagacity of making some positive contribution to the people instead of resorting to cheap political gimmicks. (KNS)
