Bandipora, 04 November 2017: National Disaster Preparedness Day-2017 was observed in Bandipora district on Friday with a call to expedite disaster preparedness programmes for reducing the loss of lives and properties in natural calamities.
The hospital administration chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day with the theme- 'Disaster preparedness round the clock brings sustainable development.'
Preparedness undertaken by the people of disaster prone areas could undoubtedly reduce the loss of lives and properties during any disaster, they added.
A large number of people including district hospital officials, heads of institutions, representatives of different NGO's took part in the meeting.
