Papchan (Bandipora) October 23: Police on Monday apprehended a man at Papchan area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district and recovered one kilogram of cannabis from his possession.
Man identified as Shahnawaz Hussain Khatana son of Abdul Hamid Khatana is a resident of Gojarpati Aragam .
“DySP headquarter Mir Murtaza Hussain and SHO Bandipora Syed Gazanfar on the instructions of SSP Bandipora laid the naka at Papchan and arrested the charas smugler and recovered One Kilogram of Charas in his possession,” officials said.
Officials said Case FIR No. 151/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered in police station Bandipora and investigation has been taken up.
