Bandipora, Oct 11: PDP General Secretary Nizam-ud-din Bhat on Wednesday visited the family of Adnan Bhat who died two days ago after being hit by a ball while playing cricket in Watapora village of Bandipora district.
Bhat expressed condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family.
He made an appeal to the sports council of Jammu and Kashmir to extend financial support to the bereaved family in the interest of sports.
"Since the villagers don't have facilities, the incident was bound to happen," he Said.
This incident should not come as a dampener to all those rural boys interested in sports. Since sports council is obliged to effect promotion, the family deserves their support and sympathies," he said.
Adnan Bhat son of Muhammad Ramzan Bhat died on Monday after being hit on his head by a ball while playing cricket in paddy fields in Watapora.
Bhat also visited few other bereaved families in the constituency.
