BARAMULLA, May 2: An under-14 football tournament which was organized by paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district concluded today.
A CRPF spokesman said the closing ceremony of civic action programme regarding under fourteen football tournament final match of boys between Dash football club and Haider blues was organized by 53 Battalion of CRPF at Saint Joseph School Baramulla in which Dash football club won by 3-2 in penalty shootout.
He said in the girls match between “A” team of Saint Joseph School and “B” team of Saint Joseph School in which “B” team won by 4-2 in penalty shootout.
The match was convened by Chief Guest Javed Hassan Beg, who is Baramulla legislator, Guest of honour, Sayyed Tawqeer, who is principal district session judge Baramulla, special guest Deputy Commissioner Baramullua Nisar Ahmad Naqash, SSP Baramulla Imtiaz Hussain Mir and Father Thomas Johnson and Commandant Vinay Kumar Tiwari interacted with the players.
“22 football teams under-14 of different schools from Baramulla convened under civic action programme participated in this tournament. All unit officers and men also witnessed the programme. Participants showed their great enthusiasm, zeal and interest in civic action programme which was organized by 53 Battalion CRPF,” the spokesman of the CRPF added.
