Condemns arrest of Shabir Shah

Srinagar, Mar 03 (KNS): Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani continuous to be under house detention since last six and half year and his continued house detention is taking heavy toll on his health, said spokesman Ayaz Akbar.
“Less physical activity due to confinement to house can lead to complications,” said spokesman in a statement issued to KNS.
He said that his residence is under continuous surveillance as CCTV’s are mounted on several points near his residence.
Spokesman while condemning the state authorities said that ‘it is illegal and unconstitutional to confine him to four walls’.
Spokesman while condemning the arrest of Shabir Ahmad Shah, said that he was released after prolonged detention, however today’s detention proved that administration is not sincere and it was just a ‘mockery’.
Spokesman said that their policy of ‘tyranny’ is apparent and their main aim is to keep the situation ‘volatile’ and continue state of ‘uncertainty’. “Administration is hell-bent to create distances and communication gap between leadership and masses,” said spokesman.
“Their policy is leading to uncertainty in state and consequently the youth are opting for other means to give vent to their sentiments,” he added.
Spokesman cautioned policy makers in Delhi and said that they need to reconsider their policy for Kashmir as it has proved futile. “It has neither changed the status
