Srinagar, Feb 24: Mr Aqib Mushtaq Malik, student of Kashmir University’s LLB 3rd Semester, who had reportedly gone missing on February 21, 2017, has been traced by police on Friday morning from Habak area.
The University of Kashmir appreciates the efforts of J&K Police Department authorities in general, and Superintendent of Police (Hazratbal) Mr Naveed Peerzada, in particular—and also office of Chief Proctor—in tracing the student. After completion of formalities at Nigeen Police Station, Aqib has been handed over to University of Kashmir.
Pertinent to mention here that the University authorities had formally taken up the issue with J&K’s Director General of Police, Dr S.P. Vaid (IPS), yesterday, and requested him to have the matter inquired into on priority.
