
Baramulla, February 20: The Capacity Building Tour named as ‘DAURA-E-KHWAJA’, organised for the children of Baramulla Dist to Jaipur and Ajmer under the aegis of the Kilo Force was flagged in today at Uplona.
The tour was flagged off at Uplona on 04 Feb 2017. A total of twenty students, one teacher and five organising staff formed part of the tour.
Officials said the students visited places like Jaigarh Fort, Moti Doongri, Nahargarh Fort, Birla Mandir , Jantar Mantar , Amber Fort ,City Palace and Hawa Mahal at Jaipur .At Ajmer , the students visited Dargah sharif , Sola Khamba , Shahan Jahan Mosque ,Ana Sagar Lake, Adhai Din ka Jhopra.
As a capacity building measure, students were given the opportunity to interact with students and staff of renowned Sanskriti School at Ajmer. The students also visited Jammu University and interacted with the staff as well scholars of the university.
During the flagging in ceremony, the participants expressed their gratitude to the Army for providing them with such opportunities that exposed them to the rich cultural heritage of the country , witness the progress in educational sector and broaden their horizon.
