‘Mentions CM, assures best hospitality in JK

Srinagar, Feb 17 (KNS): Saying that the women are always best hosts at home and in the official capacity, Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Priya Sethi has announced that the SATTE if organized in Srinagar will be sponsored by JK tourism as a partner.
She was addressing a gathering during SATTE, three day Travel Show of South Asia, which according to the officials attracted huge crowds for JK Tourism pavilion making the travel trade upbeat with new hopes.
Sethi asked that gathering of travel trade of country to invest in peace by making JK as the priority destination this year.
She mentioned Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and assured the audience that women being at the helm to run the tourism can guarantee you best hospitality. “Women always are best hosts at home or in official capacity,” she added.
Sethi further announced that next time the SATTE if organized in Srinagar will be sponsored by JK tourism as a partner.
Meanwhile, officials while giving details about SATTE said that it is a three day travel show which was inaugurated on 14th evening formally followed by three days of exclusive B to B interactions and business enquirers. “It has international participation from almost 30 countries including Turkey, Bhutan, Southeast Asian countries, Middle East countries and SAARC nations,” the officials added.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the officials said that the different tourism boards and tourism departments from all the states are participating in different capacities in this travel show to showcase their tourism products similarly the travel trade companies, hotel chains and other renowned travel associations also participated in this travel show.
The officials said that Jammu Kashmir tourism had established a beautifully decorated pavilion this year which was large enough to accommodate travel trade of Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh to showcase the multiple, diverse tourism potential of the state.
The JK pavilion attracted interested potential buyers from all over the country and abroad who were thrilled to know about various tempting locations and products of Jammu Kashmir.
The main feature of the show was the JK networking evening which was attended by MOS Tourism Priya Sethi, Secretary Tourism Farooq A shah, Director Tourism Mehmood A shah, MD cable car Shamim Wani, Director SKICC, Yasmeen Khan and other officers and officials of JK tourism, JKTDC and SKICC.
The secretary Tourism in his address spoke at large about the facilities in the state and upgraded infrastructure because of the keen interest of CM who wants to realize the tourism vision of late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed.
Farooq A shah requested the gathering of Travel Trade of the country to make it a mission to bring tourists to Jammu Kashmir and work as ambassadors for Kashmir, Director Tourism Kashmir in his presentation mentioned about the real life incidents showcasing the inherent hospitable and friendly nature of Kashmir who can sacrifice their life for safeguarding their guests.
He mentioned about the boatman who lost his life for saving the tourists.
The networking evening was successfully organized the invitees had the guests from different countries as well who got enthralled by the spectacular JK evening and cultural performances. (KNS)
