Srinagar, Feb 15 (KNS): In solidarity with militants killed on Wednesday a complete shutdown was observed in Karalgund and Langate areas of Tehsil Handwara.
According to the KNS correspondent Ilahi, in solidarity with militants killed in yesterdays encounter in Karalgund area, all shops were shut and no transport movement was seen on the roads. The business establishment, offices and Banks witnessed thin attendance.
He said that at some places clashes were reported in which three Tata Sumo were partially damaged. Meanwhile in Handwara and Kupwara normal life was affected.
Police official said situation remains under control and extra forces have been deplored in to prevent any abnormal activity.
