Srinagar, Feb 01 (KNS): The residents of Wailoo Kralpora village of Tangmarg area up in arms against Power Development Department (PDD) for ‘failing to restore electricity in their area from past 20 days.’
The residents said that the department has miserable failed to take action against the Hardishora villagers who are allegedly cutting off their electric lines thereby forcing them to reel under darkness.
“The villagers of Hardishora are disconnecting our electric lines on mid-way, which has left the hundreds of householders here to reel under darkness,” the residents told KNS.
They said that the department has taken no action against the villagers. “It is unfortunate that despite knowing the facts, the department has miserably failed to take action against the Hardishora villagers. The authorities must take up the matter and should redress our genuine grievances at earliest,” the residents added.
Inhabitants said that the also approached to the concerned MLA in this regard but unfortunately all in vain.
They later appealed to the higher ups to look into the matter and fulfill their demands as soon as possible. (KNS)
