
Jammu, Jan 31 (KNS): Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF), and MLA Khansahib Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen today ridiculed PDP- BJP coalition partners for their double speak on Article 370 adding that a deliberate attempt is being made to create confusion among masses on the issue.
Speaking to media persons, after staging walk out over the demand of BJP to expunge remarks of chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti made during her reply to demand of grants in Assembly last evening that all those who oppose Article 370 are anti national, Hakeem said that both the parties should come clean about their stand on this sensitive political issue.
He said while PDP boasts to be savior of Article 370, its coalition partner is deadly against it and its members day in and day out seek its abrogation. “Basically under political compulsion, both the coalition partners are trying to keep their vote bank in humor in their respective Kashmir and Jammu regions,” Hakeem said adding that the strategy adopted by these parties is creating a void between the people of Kashmir and Jammu.
He said this is a dangerous game being played by PDP-BJP coalition partners for the sake of power sharing which shall have disastrous consequences in times to come.
He said people of the State cannot be kept in dark over this sensitive issue and have every right to seek answer from both these parties.
Hakeem said that PDP-BJP have entered into an unholy alliance for the convenience of power despite having varied differences on vital political issues.
Referring to the demand of BJP to expunge remarks of the Leader of the House on the issue of Article 370 from the proceeding record of the House, Hakeem Yasin said that such an embarrassing situation for the Chief Minister has never been witnessed in Legislature History of the State.
He said how speaker can expunge remarks of the Leader of the Hose which tantamounts to no confidence. He said Chief Minister should immediately tender her resignation and seek an apology from the people of the state for betraying them. (KNS)
