“Stone pelting” traditional Sports of Kashmir, steps being taken to promote it: Imran Ansari

Jammu,  January 23:Minister for Youth Services and Sports Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari today said the stone pelting is the traditional Sports of Kashmir.

He was responding to a supplementary question raised by Firdous Ahmad Tak who wanted to know from the Minister about the steps being taken by the government to promote traditional Sports.  To thus Minister replied,  “wysai Kani Jung is the traditional Sports of Kashmir…” he said sarcastically adding that steps are being taken to promote sports.

Later legislator Shehnaz Ganai objected to the statement and requested the chair to delete the statement from official record to which the chair agreed.
