Army cordons off Bandipora village

Bandipora,  January 18: Army, on wednesday, cordoned off Nasoo village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after receiving the specific input of presence of three militants in the area.

ENCOUNTER

According to the locals, army arrived at 12:30 am & laid the cordon. Besides, razor wires were put around the entire village & generators were also pressed into the service to reduce the escape chances of the militants.
Officials said Army zeored in two houses that belonged to Haji Ghulam Nabi Rather & Ghulam Hassan Dar and started the search operations at 6:30 am.
However, the army didn’t find any militant in the two houses.

Now, the forces have cordoned Zalwan area and started the search operations there.
