After Tajamul, another Bandipora boy to create history

7-Year-old Hashim Mansoor to represent India in youth Karate Asian championship

Bandipora:- After little champion Tajamul Islam created history by winning gold medal in world Kickboxing Championship held at Italy, another player from Bandipora is all set to represent India in  Asian Youth Karate Championship.

The championship will be  held at Talkatora Indoor stadium New Delhi next week from 28-30 November under banner of All India Youth Karate Federation.

Hashim Mansoor son of Mansoor Ahmad, a resident of
Nadihal area of North Kashmir’s  Bandipora district is  a class 2nd student at Symbiosis School Bandipora  and will participate in the championship in which 19 countries will be participating.

Hashim got Selected during National open trial  which were held at Srinagar in which  players from different states of India participated which were organised by JK Youth Karate Association.

A function was held today at Sports stadium Bandipora in which Deputy Commissioner Bandipora,Sajjad Hussain Ganie, Superintendent of Police,Sheikh Zulfkar Azad, Dy.Sp Abdul Rashid Khan,president Youth karate Association, Ghulam Nabi Tantry and his colleagues felicitated  7 year old Hashim and wished him luck.

President,Jammu and kashmir Youth karate Association, Ghulam Nabi  Tantry, told Kashmir Convener that Bandipora is full of talent and the players only need platform to show their skills.
” I am personally impressed with his talent my good wishes are with him and moreover he is the first Kashmiri boy who is representing India in Sub Junior Category at the age of seven years,” he said.

He thanked Deputy commissioner Bandipora and SP Bandipora to encourage the boy by felicitating  him thereby showing their keen Interest in promoting sports in Bandipora,” he added.
