Bandipora:- The inhabitants of Kaloosa area of North kashmir’s Bandipora district staged protest demonstration against Army’s high-handedness.
Chanting anti-India and Pro-freedom slogans residents alleged that Army’s 27RR (Marathli) unit Camped at kaloosa barged into the village without any provocation and started vandalizing property.
The residents demanded removal of camp from the area so that people will not face hardships in future. “Army has ransacked our window panes, They without any provocation come to our village and start beating us they did not even spared women and vandalized our property,” said Hafeezullah,a local. “the camp occupied this land before 27 years,from then we are facing hardships by this camp now we want its removal,” he added
Abdul Qayoom, another local said that they (Army) came to Kaloosa village yesterday after the end of Friday prayers and started pelting stones at residential houses damaging vehicles . “They Further threatened us that they will barge in our village during night and will not let anybody live peacefully if we protested,” he said.
Deputy commissioner Bandipora, assured residents that matter will be taken up with army officials.
