JKReTTF lauds innovative programmes of DSEK

Srinagar, 27 May 2016: Hailing the reformative programmes initiated by the Department of Education, the Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar e Taleem Teachers Forum has urged the authorities to broaden the scope of such orientation programmes in future.
The chief spokesperson of the forum Mohammad Iqbal Bhat in a statement welcomed the Pratham initiative launched by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir and termed the said programme as a timely innovation to equip the teachers with latest techniques and methodologies for making teaching learning process more interesting and pupil-friendly. Mr Bhat also said that state government had introduced certain reforms in education sector still quality education was a concern, especially among low income communities. Hence, our youthful and energetic Director Education Dr Shah Faesal (IAS) utilized the services of Pratham to train teachers valley-wide for improving reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills of Primary classes.
The chief spokesperson also said that Pratham has been developing new reading materials and teaching methods that are designed to be more accessible and effective in current conditions. Hundreds of teachers working in far and wide of the state have benefitted from these special training programmes and hopefully the new techniques will motivate the teaching fraternity to work with extra vigour and commitment in the classrooms. The learning levels among students will improve and boost their comprehension and vocabulary.
