Bandipora, May 15:-The people of Tehsil Bandipora are up in arms against the state government as the Tehsil is without Tehsildar from past two months.
Since the transfer of Tehsildar Mir Murtaza two months back an additional charge was handed over by Deputy Commissioner to Tehsildar Ajas-Muhammad Ramzan. Locals said owing to additional charge to the Tehsildar Ajas, the Tehsildar spends only three days in Bandipora putting the locals to trouble.
The move has left the administrative department defunct as the attached Tehsildar Muhammad Ramzan has restricted powers in disbursing his duties in addition to that he has to handle the rush of two Tehsils. The President Patwar association Aadil Ahmad stated that “due to defunct Tehsil office the employees are left without salary from two months”
District President Revenue Maqsood Ahmad Khan also drew concern over the issue of non availability of Tehsildar in Bandipora. He said no administrative or public work is being done here “it has left employees jobless and has also hampered is disbursing public issues who are fuming in anger”
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Masarat Hashim agreed that the acting Tehsildar is only able to do minor stuff. He said that “Government has not recommend another Tehsildar for Bandipora yet as soon as the they process in this regard, they will act accordingly” he said.
