Hajin: Bandipora will host the 38th annual conference of Adbee Markaz Kamraz (AMK) in the month of August with focus on Kashmiri language and current societies challenges.
This was decided in a meeting of AMK executives held in Hajin on Sunday under the chairmanship of President Dr Syed Shujaat Bukhari.
During the meeting it was decided that conference will be held at Bandipore and hosted by AMK’s constituent Literary Forum Bandipore (LFB).
The meeting also constituted a committee to decide about the annual prestigious awards which are given by AMK annually.
The committee will be headed by President AMK while other members include Atiqa Bano, Fayaz Tilgami, Syed Akhtar Mansoor and Mohammad Amin Bhat.
A committee headed by General Secretary Mohammad Amin Bhat with Adil Mohiuddin, Tariq Rasool Mir and Syed Akhtar Mansoor was also constituted for formulation of the agenda of the conference.
The meeting also decided to hold the general body meeting of AMK on June 5 at its Sopore headquarters in which the annual budget will be passed and some amendments in the constitution will also be taken up.
The executive members also gave its nod for releasing of the book on the journey of AMK authored by Riyaz-ul-Hassan and will be released in the second week of May.
The meeting expressed satisfaction over the launch of quarterly literary journal PRAVE which is also available on internet.
