Bandipora, April 26: PDP Youth wing Bandipora on Tuesday appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to direct district administration to regain the lost glory of famous Nishat Park in Bandipora.
In a statement issued today, PDP spokesperson said a meeting of workers was held on Tuesday at party head office in Bandipora wherein several issues pertaining to development of Bandipora were raised including regaining of lost glory of Nishat park.
“The meeting was attended by zone president bandipora, Mohammad Amin Mir, constituency in-charge Inam-ul-haq, party functionaries and Sarpanchs and Panchs,” the statement said.
It said that PDP leaders appealed CM Mehbooba Mufti to direct district administration to immediate measures to maintain famous Nishat Park in Bandipora.
They said that the guest house which is in deplorable condition should be renovated and converted into a public library.
They appealed CM to direct officials to maintain and to renovate huts inside the park. “Defunct fountains, cafeteria and public toilets inside the park should also be made functional for the public good,” they said.
