Bandipora, April 26: Drug and Food Control Organisation Kashmir on Tuesday launched a massive a drive against the menace of milk adulteration.
The sleuths of Food and Supply wing of the department laid Naka at various places in Bandipora district to collect samples from the milk entering in the district.
The sleuths collect Samples from Shadipora and Sumbal after complaints of Sub standard milk being sold. A team led by Designated Officer Yameen-un-Nabi conduct searchs at Shadipora area against milk and milk suppliers and collected 7 samples of fresh cow milk and cheese for analysis purposes.
The milk suppliers have been warned to desist from the malpractice of adulteration which otherwise would warrant strict action under Food Safety & Standards Act.
