Hashmee FC thrashes Moosa Sopore in inaugural contest

Bandipora: The 7th Hashmeer Memorial Football Cup 2016 organized by Hashmee Football Club kick starts at SK sports stadium Bandipora here today.
The inaugural Match was played between Hashmee Football Club and Moosa XI Sopore. 24 teams from different districts of the valley will participate in the tournament. Officials said the tournament will be played on knockout basis at sports stadium Bandipora.
In the inaugural match of the tournament Hashmee football Club Bandipora defeated Moosa XI Sopore by 1-0. In the very first half of the match Rameez-the star player of Bandipora managed to provide a lead to his team by smashing an early goal.
Both the teams played well throughout match while Moosa XI could not find the nets, referee blew whistle and Hashmee football club who was leading by one goal won the match.
“We have organized the tournament with the aim to provide better sports infrastructure for the youths of whole valley,” said Sameer Mir organizing secretary. “We have included all the best teams from valley in this tournament so that local youths get inspired and skilled tournament will be witnessed for the first time in Bandipora district,” he said hoping that people will support them in this initiative.
Fasil Noor a local youth said that since the stadium has been thrown open after 6 months long gap because of negligence of authorities, They are happy seeing good football played with full of sports spirit here and we hope in future such tournaments will be organized for the benefit of youths.
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Commanding Officer 14 RR, President District Football Association Bandipora,
Town Commander 14RR and Managing body of Hashmeer football Club besides this hundreds of spectators were also present who came to support their favourite team.
