13 department missing from Gram Sabha in B’Pora

Bandipora,April 25:-  Throwing norms to winds, only one department turned up to participate in Gram Sabha in most of the villages in Bandipora on Sunday as 13 departments were absent from Gram Sabha which is violation of rules under Panchyati Raj.

Only the department of Rural Development Department  was present in the Gram Sabha of Lawdara village on Sunday organised under  “Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan”. It is already in menu that 14 departments has to participate in the said programme but only one department was present in the Sabha.

According to Secretary Panchayat all the 14 departments were informed about the Sabha but only Rural Development Department was present. Locals request District Development Commissioner Bandipora for strict action against all the remaining departments which remains absent in the sabha so in future all the 14 departments will participate the Sabha.

In the Sabha dozens of locals gathered in middle School Lowdara and discussed their different issues and problems. They express their opinions for betterment and welfare of the community. Secretary Panchayat,Village Level Worker, GRS,Sarpanchs and Panchs of the said area participate in Sabha.

Earlier Narendra Modi launch Gram Uday Se Bharat Uday Abhiyan on 14 April. It is a nationwide movement towards social harmony, strengthening of Panchayati Raj, Rural development and farmer’s progress. The abhiyan was launched on the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
