Sopore, April 22, CNS: Sopore police organized a cricket tournament “Rafiaabad Police Premier League” which was inaugurated by SP Sopore Shri Harmeet Singh.
Sixty four teams from all over the district are participating in the tournament. The opening match of Rafiaabad Police Premier League was played between Police Lines Sopore and Saripara at green lush ground Dangiwacha. More than 3000 people from all walks of life assembled at the venue to witness the inaugural match of the tournament.
While speaking on the occasion SP Sopore Shri Harmeet Singh said that such type of programmes will bridge the gap between public and police and it would pave a way for good police public relationship. SDPO Rafiaabad and Co-ordinator of Tournament Shri Shabir Khan welcomed all the captains and players. Speaking on the occasion he said that this tournament would serve as a platform to the youth of Rafiabad to display their talent.
Among others Commanding Officer 32 RR Col P.C Shekhar, SDPO Sopore Ashish Mishra, Tehsildar and BMO Dangiwacha were also present.
