Srinagar | Apr 15 (PTK): JKLF leaders Mushtaq Ajmal, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Siraj u Din Mir (Dawood) along with dozens were arrested by police when they tried to took out a protest rally at Abi Guzar, Lal Chowk.
Meanwhile Hurriyat JK leaders Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Muhammad Ahsan Untoo also protested against brutal killings in Handwara. The Hurriyat JK leaders despite restrictions managed to reach Abi Guzar to stage a demonstration against the killings.
On the occasion Liberation front leader Sheikh Ab Rashid, Mushtaq Ajmal, Ashraf bin Salam while addressing protesters said Kashmir has been converted into complete police state.
While paying tributes to Handwara martyrs the leaders expressed their sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families. They appealed to world human rights bodies to focus on Kashmir and put pressure on India to stop human rights violations in Kashmir.
Later, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Sheikh Ab Rashid, Imtiyaz Ahmad were arrested by police and shifted to Khothi bagh police station. (PTK)
