Srinagar | Apr 07 : Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed his deep anguish and sorrow over the death and destruction of life and property caused due to several days of continuous torrential rains in the Gilgit, Baltistan and adjacent regions.
More than 100 persons have lost their lives and large scale destruction of property has taken place due to the landslides and floods caused by the heavy rains in the area.
Mirwaiz while expressing his sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families has said that the Hurriyat conference and the people of Kashmir share the pain of the affected people and stand along with them in this hour of grief and tragedy.
Mirwaiz prayed Allah to give courage to the tragedy fallen families to bear the loss and also prayed for the peace of the departed souls.
