Srinagar | Apr 07 (PTK): Reacting to the controversy surrounding NIT Srinagar Dukhtaran e Millat president Aasiyeh Andrabi has said that India was playing dangerous games in Kashmir. She has however cautioned and said that it was like playing with fire.
In a statement issued here Aasiyeh Andrabi said that the incident that happened in NIT on 31th March was ordinary but the Indians wanted to make a mountain of a molehill. She said that Kashmiri’s have been opposing India since the formation of Pakistan and there was nothing new. She said that like the majority of the state a few students enrolled in NIT too expressed joy over the India’s loss and that is neither new nor a crime. Justifying the joy expressed by Kashmiri’s over India’s loss and giving a reason she said “When Kashmiri’s see India losing they feel happy because it is loss of those who have been killing, looting and putting this nation to a worst life, it is loss of an occupier that has snatched the freedom of this poor nation who is unable to harm this mighty occupier”.
Aasiyeh Andrabi said that instead of reading between the lines and accepting the reality that India has failed to win over Kashmiri’s its state and the people are arrogant and believe in coercion and violence. “There is nothing new if Kashmiri’s celebrate Pakistan’s victory and feel happy over fall of India in any field, Indians should have introspected to see why even after about seven decades they failed to tame Kashmiri’s but they are arrogant and believe in hooliganism and bullying”.
Aasiyeh Andrabi said that Indians studying in NIT Srinagar couldn’t digest the joy of Kashmiri’s exhibited over India’s defeat and resorted to hooliganism. “They not only damaged the property but even attempted to murder local students but unfortunate is the thing that instead of booking the goons for hooliganism they are being encouraged which is condemnable”. She said that Indian students should know that Kashmiri’s are a decent nation who despite being in a fight with India never touched Indian civilians but that doesn’t mean the suppressed nation will allow anybody to play with its sentiments.
“Kashmiri’s took care of Indian tourists while they were themselves facing an economic blockade by Jammu Hindus, how can they harass Indian students” she asked. She asked the Indian students to focus on studies and not on the conspiracies against Kashmiri’s. “After the 31st March incident class work resumed on last Monday but some hidden hands provoked the situation again which indicates that it is a conspiracy and the Indian students are playing in anti Kashmir forces” she observed. She said that the demands put forth by the Indian students make it clear that they are part of a conspiracy.
She said that police wouldn’t have wasted a minute to book Kashmiri students if they even misbehaved with Indians while no action was taken against the Indians despite the fact that they assaulted local students. Aasiyeh Andrabi said that the goons who pose to be students are encouraged such that they even threaten the local faculty not to talk of students. She however said that this was unacceptable and the local populace won’t be silent if the Indian goons, their ultra nationalist politicians and biased media doesn’t behave and stop propaganda against Kashmir.
Aasiyeh Andrabi said that JK police should see that despite killing thousands of Kashmiri’s they are still not trustworthy for India. She said “the unwise JK police men should see how they were humiliated and slapped just because they wanted to stop the goons from hooliganism. “So what have you achieved by posing more loyal than the king and killing your own brethren for Indian bosses, remember they use you for killing your own people and they won’t hesitate firing you once they feel you are no more needed” Aasiyeh Andrabi said with a reference to JK police.
