Srinagar, Apr 06 : Peoples Conference Chairman and MLA Handwara Sajjad Gani Lone Wednesday flew to New Delhi for a medical checkup for his eye that he has been undergoing for the last three months.
Sources told KNS that Lone left for New Delhi today afternoon for his medical checkup.
Meanwhile, a BJP leader told KNS that the central leadership is willing to relook the portfolio of Lone.
“Sajjad Lone is a young, capable and competent leader. Knowing this fact and that in the previous alliance he did not get a portfolio where he could deliver, the central BJP leadership will relook his portfolio,” the leader told KNS.
Lone has submitted his resignation as social welfare minister to chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday morning.
