Jammu, April 5 // Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has welcomed the decision of Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti for rasing the profile of Tribal Affairs Department. Chowdhary said that the step of keeping Tribal Ministry with her by Chief Minister has increased the importance of this Department which is at infancy stage and need focused attention at highest level.
Chowdhary said that creation of Tribal Ministry was historic step of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and he always shown deep concerns for the upliftment of nomadic people and Ms Mehbooba Mufti is also serious to improve the situation of nomads in JK.
The Minister said that he worked in this department with full dedication for 10 months and created proper set up. He said that he received tremendous support from tribal community and great response from officers of Tribal affairs department for which Minister thanked people and officers for cooperation in establishing and running the department for 10 months.
