Bandipora, April 01: With the aim to provide better infrastructure in sports and to boost cricket of district, the cricket clubs of Bandipora on Friday formed the Bandipora Cricket Forum to organize the cricket activities of area under one banner and to provide better facilities to the cricketing players of the district.
In the meeting held at Bandipora, 48 clubs of area participated and unanimously elected Saleem Jahangir as president while Aadil Jan was elected as Secretary.
Mohammad Amin Khan was elected as Treasurer of the forum while Mohammad Rafiq Ganie, Khursheed Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Ramzan Lone, Irshad Ahmad Bhat, Malik Abdul Haq, Aijaz Ahmad Wani, Feroz Ahmad Magrey, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Shabir Ahmad Khan and Mohammed Akbar Mir were elected as members of the forum.
Talking To Kashmir Convener, Saleem Jahangir said he assure all cricketers that he will execute the job at hand with the best of his ability so that the goals set out will be accomplished. He said his aim will be to take cricket of Bandipora to gross route level and give every youngsters a chance to develop his talent. He hoped the members of forum will work tirelessly for betterment of cricket in the district,.
