Srinagar | Mar 31 : Jammu and Kashmir is all set to witness rainy weekend, reports quoting MeT experts said on Thursday.
The higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir may also witness fresh snowfall.
Rain activity may play a spoilsport as famous tourist destinations such as Srinagar and Gulmarg, are likely start receiving rain and thundershowers from Friday evening, MeT sources said.
They said that with these rains, threat of natural calamities in terms of landslides and avalanche has also made a comeback over the region.
They added that a fresh Western Disturbance is approaching to hilly region of North India and is presently marked over North Pakistan and adjoining areas.
