BANDIPORA, MARCH 29: In order to review the performance of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), a district level review advisory committee meeting was held at Bandipora with District Development Commissioner in chair.
CPO Bandipora, DDM NABARD, DM (RBI), Cluster Head JK Bank, LDM Bandipora, Facilitator FLCC Bandipora besides District Level Officers, District Coordinators of other banks participated and local MLA also attended the meeting.
Director RSETI informed the meeting that 192 candidates were imparted training in 8 batches besides 22 awareness camps were conducted in the district upto 3rd quarter this fiscal. He said that 136 candidates/trainees were linked with banks for financial assistance to open their ventures. He also informed 25 trainees were settled with self finance and 30 trainees earning their livelihood through wage labour.
The DDC on the occasion appreciated the performance and role of RSETI to address unemployment in the district. The local MLA asked for identifying and allotting suitable patch of land to RSETI so that they can start construction of the institute with residential quarters.
During the meeting Director RSETI requested for accommodating the RSETI trainees under Banks DRI and MUDRA scheme.
