Two officials suspended: SDM Sumbal

Sonawari, March 24: Two employees of Handicrafts department have been suspended following protests by the locals in Sonawari area of Bandipora against the absence of e3mplyees from their officers.
Residents of Sonawari blocked Sumbal-Srinagar Road and held protest against Handicraft Department in Sumbal.
Protester’s allege the office usually remain locked as emplioyees remain absent from their duties and put local visitors into trouble.
A protester Manzoor Ahmad of Vijpara Sonawari said he visited the office several times to submit registration forum but official refused to accept the form as the designated officer was not present in the office from past few days.
In the mean time SHO Sumbal Mehboob Bandy visited spot and assured the protesters that their complaint will be looked into following which the protesters dispersed peacefully.
Following the complaints SDM Sumbal said he has suspended two employees after finding them absent from duties. “Soon after protests, I se4nt a team there which found two employees absent. We have put them under suspension, “I have send team there and they have collect attendance for necessary action and we have found two employees abse he added.
