Sumbal, March 15: Taking serious note of the complaints of sub standard food in the market, Sub District Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal Ghulam Mohammed launched a drive to check the marketing of food in the town.
A team lead by SDM laid Nakkas with the support of local police and other agencies in order substandard food items.
During the drive, the team seized large amount of food and destroyed the same on spot.
On the occasion the experts of Drug and Food Control Organisation tool samples from different mills across the district and sent to laboratory for testing.
SDM said if the samples were found suspicious, these food manufacturing mills will be closed and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
