BANDIPORA, MARCH 12: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon has impressed upon the officers and concerned executing agencies to speed up the pace of work of all developmental projects to ensure their completion within the stipulated time. He was speaking during a meeting convened at community hall Sumbal today.
Among others, DDC Bandipora Sajad Hussain, Director School Education Kashmir, Secretary Cultural Academy, SDM Sumbal besides district level and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
The Divisional Commissioner directed officers to take measures to improve supply of power and drinking water besides healthcare facilities and ensure that people do not suffer for want of basic amenities. He said that the public grievances should be redressed on priority.
Earlier, the Divisional Commissioner inaugurated a plantation drive by planting chinar, deodar saplings outside SDM office Sumbal.
During his visit several deputationists called on the Divisional Commissioner and apprised him with their problems , Dr Samoon gave patient hearing to all the deputationists and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers to redress the grievances of people in timebound manner .
