Govt to refer posts of sacked docs to recruiting agency   

Srinagar, March 9:  The government Wednesday the vacancies created after terminating services of 100 doctors recently will be referred to the to the recruiting agencies.

Commissioner Secretary to Government, Health and Medical Education Department told the high court that government has terminated services of 100 medical officers/ consultants who were on unauthorised absence from duty.

He said the posts, which have fallen vacant, shall be referred to Services Commission/ Recruiting Agency to be filled up in accordance with rules.

The court had earlier sought personal appearance of the Commissioner Secretary Health regarding absence of doctors from duties.

On Wednesday, the official personally appeared before the court and informed the bench that 100 unauthorisedly absent doctors have been terminated by the government.
