Army Organises Youth Mela In Bandipora

Bandipora 29 Feb 2016. Army on Sunday organised a Youth Mela at Mantrigam in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district aimed at providing focused guidance on various career opportunities available for different age groups and qualifications.

An official spokesperson said  the initiative received an overwhelming response as over 300 boys and girls along with their parents participated in the event.  “A team of Army officers including Doctors & Engineers organised a series of lectures on the job opportunities available in Army, engineering and medicine disciplines”.

The Youth Mela was also attended by Chief Education Officer Bandipora Shadi Lal, Principal High School Mantrigam, Ghulam Rasool Lone and Faisal Ali, youth icon. “Lectures were also delivered by the civil dignitaries on importance of education and various job opportunities for the local youth of Bandipora. Mr Faisal Ali informed the youth about opportunities in the field of sports,” spokesperson said.

He said the event also provided an apt platform for the youth to freely express their aspirations which they did in a very congenial and friendly atmosphere. The participants also expressed their hope to optimise on the plethora of employment related information obtained during the event.
