SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 19: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon today directed officials of Health Department to ensure cent percent coverage under Pulse-Polio campaign so that the disease is eradicated from the state.
He said this while reviewing the arrangements for Pulse-Polio immunization campaign scheduled for February 21, 2016. The meeting was attended by Director Health Services Kashmir, State Immunization Officer and Principal GMC Srinagar.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioners of all the districts of the division including Leh and Kargil through video conferencing.
Dr Samoon appealed parents to bring their children to nearby PPI centre to administer pulse polio vaccine.
He also directed officials to be proactive to deal with any kind of rumours and coordinate with the field staff. He appealed people to contact on toll free number 100 in case of any complaint and asked them to remain cautious from rumours mongers. He said the people should contact officials in case of any doubts and should not pay heed to rumours.
