Aim to explore hidden talent of Youth: SP Bandipora

Bandipora, February 13: District Police Bandipora on Saturday organised hunt for talent programme “Choona Hai Aasman” at District Police Lines Bandipora under the banner of civic action programme in a bid to provide platform to the budding youth to explore their Singing/Dancing talents.

An official said youth from various parts of district Bandipora participated in the event. The 10 participants whose performance were adjudged excellent by the jury as Ist, 2nd and 3rd were  awarded by the Police as cash Prize to the tune of Rs.1000, Rs 700 and Rs 500 respectively.

The participants were also awarded certificate of participation by Senior Superintendent of Bandipora Shabir Choudhary Bandipora.

Those who were present on the occasion include Mohammed Yousuf ASP Bandipora,Dysp Ops Murtaza Hussain, DySP Hqr Pervaiz Ahmad, DySP DAR  Ab Rashid and other civil and CRPF officers.

The youths present in the event hailed the effort of Police by providing them such a platform to refine their talent and explore opportunity to express it at state level.

Speaking at the occasion SSP Bandipora said that Jammu and Kashmir Police is putting all its efforts to lend support/provide platform to the youth so that their hidden talent could be explored/ channelised in a right direction for the overall welfare and betterment of society.

It  is worth to mention that the youth who get screened from this district level event shall participate subsequently  at Range level  and thereafter at Zonal level and than at State level.

Shri Mohd Yousuf Addl SP Bandipora presented vote of thanks at the occasion; he also said that in upcoming months District Police Bandipora is planning to organise Debate, Essay Writing and Painting competition at Higher Secondary School and  college  level under CAP with an aim to inculcate a spirit of competition among students.
