Srinagar, February 8, CNS: Curfew-like restrictions shall remain in place in Srinagar areas on Tuesday, a senior official said.Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone told CNS that restrictions shall remain in place in areas falling under five police stations in old Srinagar and Maisuma area in uptownto “maintain law and order.” They include Nowhatta, Khanyar, Mahrajgunj, Kralkhud and Safa Kadal.
Sources said the decision to impose curbs was taken following call by separatist organizations to organize protest marches on the eve of third death anniversary of Muhammad Afzal Guroo. (CNS)
