Srinagar 01 Feb:Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the spree of arrests through Kashmir valley and termed it as an undeclared war against common people of Kashmir.
While condemning the ongoing oppression and spree of arrests throughout Kashmir valley, especially in Islamabad, Pulwama, Srinagar districts, JKLF chairman said that police and forces have intensified the spree of arrests and other oppressive measures against Kashmiris .He said that recently may innocent young boys from Islamabad district including Zubair Ahmad Mir, Azhar Reyaz Wagay, Irfan Shafi Baba, Tanzeel Ahmad Keen, Ikhlaas Ahmad Bhat, Arjamend qammar and Aqib Mushtaq Sheikh have been arrested by police and these people are detained in various police stations. Police is also searching for a 2nd class student Zonain who is only 8 years old. Police have arrested his father Reyaz Ahmad Sofi in his place. Similar oppression is going on in Pulwama and other parts of Kashmir. Yasin Malik said that police and forces at the behest of occupational administration are pushing Kashmiris to the wall by these oppressive measures. He said choking political space and suppress the voices of Kashmirs by power will yield India nothing but shame only. Yasin Malik appealed international community, civil society and human rights organizations to break their criminal silence on Kashmir and take measures to safeguard Kashmiris from this ongoing Indian oppression.
