Soften harsh stand against students: Hurriyat G to KGP

‘Decision will have negative impact on students’

Srinagar, Jan 20 (KNS): Hurriyat (G) has appealed the management of the Kashmir Government Polytechnic (KGP) to soften its harsh stand with regarding to the students who have been asked not to sit in the upcoming semester examination for shortage in attendance.
Hurriyat (G) said that the decision of the College authorities will not only put the careers of the students at stake but it can also have negative impacts on their state of mind.
According to a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (G) said that the delegation of the said students also came to the Hurriyat office here at Hyderpora and appraised the office about the issue. The students expressed their deep concern that if they are not allowed to sit in the exams, their entire academic year.
The officials present at the Hurriyat office advised the students to concentrate on their studies and said that the education is the base of every civilized society and it also guarantees better future of the nations.
Hurriyat (G) also appealed the management of the Polytechnic College to rethink over their decision with regarding to the said students and give them a chance to appear in the exams. (KNS)
