No politics discussed in party meet;Naeem Akther

Srinagar, Jan 10: The new government formation between PDP and BJP will take some more time as the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti is still in shock, mourning the death of her father and former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Though Mehbooba made her first appearance and held a meeting with all the legislators, senior leaders and workers of the party, however no politics or process of government formation was discussed, sources in the party told KCNS.
“It was a farewell and thanksgiving meeting of the party president with all the legislators and seniors workers of the party. She (Mehbooba) thanked all the party leaders and workers for their sympathy and solidarity in her grief over the death of Mufti Sahab,” sources said.
Sources told KCNS that the oath taking ceremony of Mehbooba as next chief minister will not take place at least for a week, since she is still in great shock.
“She (Mehbooba) is in shock. How can she take oath and then start working as chief minister immediately being in shock,” sources said. “But certainly next government formation will take place with BJP,” sources said.
PDP senior leader Naeem Akhtar told KCNS that no politics was discussed during the meeting.
“It was a general meeting of the party. Mehbooba Ji wanted to meet all the leaders, legislators, district presidents and other senior workers to share her grief with them. She thanked all of them for the support and solidarity on the demise of Mufti Sahab,” Akhtar told KCNS.
