Er Rasheed asks Nirmal Singh to check proceedings of Assembly of 7th June 1952 and learn status of state flag.
Says time has come to tell every Indian about the reality of Kashmir dispute
Srinagar/31st/December: – Rejecting Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh’s claims that state flag cannot be equated with the tri colour AIP supremo and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has asked Mr Nirmal Singh to go through the constitution of the state and not mislead the people. In a statement issued today Er Rasheed said that BJP and other political national parties want to distort the history but will always fail the same way, they have failed since 1947. Er Rasheed said, “It would be better for all the national parties including BJP to tell people of India the truth which is nothing less than the fact that J&K is a disputed territory and instrument of accession was conditional. Maharaja Hari Singh against the wishes of majority of community decided to accede to Indian state on the condition that a Plebiscite will be held for a permanent settlement. Successive governments through their puppets tried to undo many things which was not their domain and time has come to rectify the wrongs.” Let Nirmal Singh and everybody else understand that restoring autonomy and dignity of the flag will never mean a final solution but India and Pakistan have to be prepared to take bold initiatives for a final settlement. “If Mr Nirmal Singh and his other colleagues will go through 7thJune 1952’s proceedings of Assembly, they will definitely regret for what they are trying to mislead about state flag.” Er Rasheed added.
