Srinagar, Dec 7 (KNS): Former Chief Minister and National Conference’s working president Omar Abdullah Monday asked if India was “made to talk Kashmir” as there was no mention of Kashmir word when the prime ministers of the two countries had met at Ufa earlier this year.
BJP has said: “The follow up of Ufa talks has happened. Pakistan has been made to talk terror, which they refused so far.”
Omar raised questions on to BJP’s statement in which the party had claimed that Pakistan has been made to talk terror.
“If Pakistan was ‘made to talk terror’ was India also ‘made to talk Kashmir’ since Jammu and Kashmir had found no mention in Ufa,” Omar tweeted.
National Security Advisor of India, Ajit Kumar Doval and his Pakistani counterpart, Lt. Gen (Retd.) Nasir Khan Janjua, met in Bangkok, capital of Thailand.
The two NSAs agreed to carry forward the constructive engagement on Jammu and Kashmir and other issues between the two nuclear nations.
Yesterday, Omar had welcomed the talks between the two NSAs, saying that holding the dialogue away from media glare can lead to “quiet progress”.
“Good to see India and Pakistan resume the dialogue process,” Omar wrote on Twitter.
