Bandipora,Nov 30: Regional Director Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Ayaz Rasool Nazki cautioned young students not to borrow ideas from others rather establish their own ideas to lead the path.
Nazki was addressing students and youth during a function organised by Kashmir Student Parliament here in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District.
Kashmir Student Parliament organised its Bandipora edition of Kashmir Student Parliament here on Monday at Town Hall Bandipora at in which students across district participated and debated many issues related to youth and society.
Expressing his concern over the growing dependence of students on ideas of others, Nazki said that students should think of their own rather follow others in the matters of career and academics. He said that students are blindly and in ‘respect’ follow elders and parents in academic and career matters without keeping their own capabilities’, capacities and interests in view.
“Our students have left thinking of their own which is proving counterproductive for them, they should think of their own and utilise their won capacities to establish ideas” Nazki said.
Nazki stressed education based on students self-thinking and self-introspection.
“Teaching and education in Schools and colleges should be based on self-thinking and self-introspection so that good humans and capable youth should come out” Nazki said.
Advising students and youth to follow their consciousness, Nazki said that ideas of a student is their road, they should be allowed to use their ideas to tread the path of life.
Follow everything from your elders and parents except ideas related to career and academics” Nazki said.
Appreciated the efforts of Kashmir Student Parliament for conducting debates and discussion on youth problems and issue, Nazki said that Parliament should focus on locals that have direct effect in youth.
