Women’s Police Station lack facilities
Srinagar Nov 20: Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Friday asked authorities to provide adequate medicare to its chief Asiya Andrabi. General Secretary Nahida Nasreen told CNS that Asiya has been kept in Women’s Police Station Rambagh which lacks in all kinds of facilities. “Neither is there water facility nor there is electricity. Asiya has been suffering from different ailments. She is suffering from bronchitis and need medicare,” she said.
Nasreen said that despite repeated attempts made by organization to know about the cause of her continuous detention, police has not been giving a solid ground of her detention. “We ourselves don’t know why she has been arrested. From past four days she has been kept in Police Station without an FIR or any charge,” she said.
“PDP led government is harassing pro-freedom people, detaining them in jails without any charges. The Government should come clear and present Asiya before the Court,” she said.
