Bandipora, Nov 20: The Bharat Scouts and Guides National headquarters has honoured and conferred Ghulam Qadir Parvaz of Bandipora with the Silver Elephant Award for services he rendered to Indian Scouts and Guides.
This award is the highest national award being presented by the President of India. Parvaz will receive award at Rashtra pati Bhavan, New Delhi, on 08 December 2015.
The award has been conferred to G Q Parvaz for being instrumental in the promotion of Scouting and guiding activities and in recognition of his distinguished services of exemplary nature to the movement in the State. Parvaz retired from government service as Divisional Scouting Organiser.
Ghulam Qadir Parvaz a resident of Nadihal Bandipora was a reputed scout’s teacher who has rendered his service in promoting scouting among the students in the state. During his service tenure he was elevated as he Parvaz as a Divisional Scouting Organiser. Parvaz inculcates the scouting sprit among the youth and students after reaching out the nook and corners of the valley.
Parvaz became involved in Scouting at an early age and after his appointment as scots teacher he decided to dedicate his life for Scouting.
Many social Organisation and Literary Organisation have presented their sincere congratulations and warmest compliments to G Q Parvaz.Amoung the Organisation who congratulated him include Wular Cultural Forum, Literary Forum Bandipora and Kashmir Philosophical Foundation, Bedsides Teacher Forum Bandipora.
District Treasury Officer Bandipora Gulshan Rasool Najar and President Teachers Forum Sharief-u-Din Shah has congratulated Parvaz for the award. They said that that this award is the recognition of the devoted work put in by G Q Parvaz for development and spread Scouts and Guides activities in the various parts of the state.
